Aspen & Jeremy, June 14th

I just love it when I get to know a couple before I actually photograph their wedding. I met them first when I did their engagement session at our county fair, then I did Aspen's bridal portraits, so Aspen was like an old friend by the time the wedding rolled around. Aspen and Jeremy are so sweet together, and I am so glad I was able to be a part of their day. The rain held off, and the clouds made for a perfectly comfortable evening. Mitchell White was responsible for all the fabulous flowers and decor, and I love when I have the opportunity to work with him. Here are just a few of my favorites!

Erin & Jeremy

I have known Erin and Jeremy for a few years, and they are such a great couple. I am so excited they have asked me to do their wedding photography later this year.

They brought along Molly, their dog, for a few shots.






I'm a bit of a movie junkie-if there's anything that looks remotely entertaining, we go. As mentioned a few posts ago, I was uber excited about seeing "The Happening". It was a TOTAL letdown. One of the things I love most about Shyamlan's movies is the "big surprise" at the end. No big surprise in this one, and it wasn't really all that suspenseful. This weekend, I saw two movies: "Get Smart" and "Wall-E". If you have kids, heck, even if you don't have kids, you must check out "Wall-E". It was super cute. "Get Smart" was pretty funny, but I could have saved it for Blockbuster and been just as satisfied.

Baby Brandt

I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Brandt a few days ago-how cute is he????






I'm off to Lakeside this evening to shoot Mary and Nathan's wedding. I've seen Mary's dress, which is beyond fabulous, and I can't wait! Later this week, check back for more photo highlights!

Katina & William, June 7

Katina and William were married at William's family home on June 7th. What a beautiful day! Katina had over 3000 orchids!!! I had so much fun meeting all their friends and family. Check out just a few of my many favorites...

Blog Slacker

So I have been a total blog slacker for the last two weeks. Too much happenin'!!! Countdown to VC has definitely begun. Let me just share with you what has happened already today:

6:00-wake up, make coffee, begin editing. I have found from 6:00 until 7:00 is the most quiet time at my house. Everyone is still sleeping, and I take advantage of it. I almost have Aspen and Jeremy's wedding finished-yeah!!!
7:00-wake the girls, have breakfast, get girls ready for swimming lessons:)
9:00-10:00-swimming lessons. I also take advantage of this time and do some more editing-we're getting closer, Aspen and Jeremy!!
10:30-ultrasound appointment-it is definitely a boy-woop woop!! Baby Jude will join this wide world near the end of October. Check out his cuteness!!





12:00-leave doctor's office-finally, and rush home to wash out the chlorine. Lunch: leftover southwest salad for me, grilled cheeses for the girls
1:00-acknowledge the fact that I have failed to blog in two weeks, update, then get back to Aspen and Jeremy's pics. I will finish these today!!

Aspen's new husband is a former TTU football player. She thought it would be cool to take a few shots on the field. Little did we know the team would be practicing! I LOVED the results!


I met Elizabeth and Derrick in Franklin for their engagement session. They will marry in September at Whitman Chapel at Scarritt Bennett in September. They are so adorable!











Later this afternoon:
3:30-orthodontist appointment for Stevie
6:30-7:30-dance class, order dinner, since I just don't think I will be up for cooking.
8:00-So You Think You Can Dance-who's goin' home??? Our vote is for Chelsea and Thayne.
9:00-girls to bed, edit more pictures, and turn in around 10:00.

I can smell the saltwater air already....

Amanda & Nathan, May 31

What a cool day!! Amanda is an artist, and her creative talent truly came out in this beautiful Asian-themed wedding. Amanda and Nathan were married on May 31st at her parents' home in Murfreesboro. I tried to keep the number of photos to a minimum, but there were so many great ones that I really had a hard time choosing-I could post hundreds more.

John turns 30 on the 18th, and to celebrate, the girls and I made him a "30 Days to 30" birthday box. Every day for the last month he has been picking a prize from the box. He's totally racked up on the gifts. For his gift tomorrow, he and I are going to see "The Happening," and I can't wait!!! I love anything Shyamalan-everything he's every done has completely scared my pants off, I can't imagine what this one's gonna do to me. I'll let you know all about it on Monday!

I Heart Abby

This was the second time I have had the honor of photographing sweet little Abby and her family. She's the cutie featured on the lifestyle gallery in her birthday suit and snow hat. I just love her! Here are some of my favorite shots from the day...
