Baby Jacob

I know it has been a while since my last blog post, but I feel like I have been living in my car!  I have driven to Nashville 5 times in the last two weeks for sessions, and this weekend, I drove to Pulaski for a wedding (Megan and Matthew-it was a beautiful ceremony, and I can't wait to start working on your photos!)  I thought since I had been spending so much time in my car,  I would share with you some of the songs on my "drivin" playlist.  If these songs aren't already on your ipod, stop reading now and go download them.  I just can't let you go all summer without playing these songs with your car window down!  Here are just a few- I plan to post more soon!

"Dreams"-The Cranberries
"Live Forever"-Oasis
"Renegade"-Styx
"Gimme Shelter"-The Rolling Stones
"Silver Lining"-Rilo Kiley
"Heartbreaker"-Pat Benetar
"Love Like This"-Natasha Bedingfield
"Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough"-Michael Jackson
"My Sharona"-The Knack
"Dark Blue"-Jack's Mannequin

Okay-so there are 10 teasers.  As you can see, my musical taste is all over the place, but these are definitely songs that will keep you awake and playing steering wheel drums all the way to your destination.

Since I have been out on shoots so much over the last few weeks, I haven't had a chance to post any of the awesome images!  Here are a few from Jacob's 3 month session.  He is sooo cute, and was such a happy baby for the session.  Mom and Dad, thank you so much for letting me capture his adorableness (if that's a word!)  I can't wait 'till our next session!

I think this was one of my favorites.  I love the contrast.

I have done so many sessions in the last few days, I have found it difficult to find time to post any of the images!  This is a great time of year for family, engagement, and bridal sessions, and I have been a busy bee.  For those of you who check the blog often, there are a couple of sessions I have done recently that I so wish I could show you!  Aspen and Sarah, your bridal portraits are fabulous, and I can't wait to show them to everyone.  Check back often, as I will post images from their bridal sessions as soon as their wedding dates have passed.

Alyssa and Ryan  will be getting married in June, and I can't wait for their wedding!  They are so cute together, and Apollo, their dog, is almost as cute as they are.  The two were high school sweethearts-Ryan now serves our country as a US Marine, and Alyssa will soon graduate with a degree in biochemistry.  Alyssa and Ryan, I had so much fun taking your engagement photos!  Here are a few of my favorites from their engagement session.  Check back after June 21st to view Alyssa's bridal portraits and photos from the wedding!

Julie & Pat, March 29

Julie and Pat were married last weekend at Brown Acres in Altamont.  The ceremony was just beautiful, and I was so honored to have been photographing.  I had actually photographed Julie's sister's wedding a couple of years ago, so it was great to see everyone again!  Julie and Pat, I wish you the best of luck, and I thank you for letting me be a part of your special day!

It was soooo foggy, but the fog made for some magical pictures!

This was, by far, one of the most action-packed garter tosses I've seen yet!

Megan and Matthew

I met with Megan and Matthew last week to take their engagement photos.  I will be photographing their wedding in May in Pulaski, Tennessee.  We started the session at my home studio, then ventured out to an open field near my home.  We also did some at the movie theatre-one of their favorite date spots.  They are so relaxed and comfortable with each other, and that really shows in their photos.  I know they are going to have a long, happy marriage, and I wish them the best of luck!

Anne & Jon's Engagement session

I am soooo excited to be photographing Anne and Jon's wedding in October!  They are a super awesome couple, and they kept me laughing for their entire session.  We met in Nashville and spent the afternoon downtown having fun.  Here are some of my favs!

I love finding obscure things to use as inspiration-for those of you who grew up in the 90's, here's my ode to the band Oasis-I always loved that song, "She's Electric"...

Sara's Portfolio

Sara came to the studio a few days ago to create a portfolio for a pageant in which she will soon compete.  She is such a beautiful young lady, with a beautiful personality to match!  She was a total natural in front of the camera, and I wish her the best of luck in the upcoming competition!  Here are some of my favorites from her portfolio...

Snow Day!

The new lifestyle website is up and running, all the orders are in, albums designed, and galleries online, so I decided to take a snow day!  The girls and I spent some time outside playing, then came in for hot chocolate.  Our only appointment today is Blockbuster.  How sweet it is.
